If you understand how search works, you can improve your chances of being found in search results. Google have several ways you can learn what you need to know to help get your business found on Google. See the bottom of the page fpr more information and links.
In February 2024 Google rebranded there YouTucbe Channel, Google Webmasters to Google Search Central. They will release a series of videos explaining how your business gets found via search engines. Google engineer Gary Illyes explains search complexities in an understandable way.

Important Terms
Crawling – How Google discovers urls and crawls the internet.
Indexing – The way google understands what the page is about and its relation to other pages on the internet, and also stores that information in a searchable way.
Serving – How Google actually serves and ranks results.
Anatomy of a search result – The break down the components of text results and the different attributes you can add to your pages to increase the visibility of your site.
The term Googleable website, especially one that shows up near the top of the results, is highly dependent on the quality of your page’s contents. Look at the quality of your content, not the quantity. The writing needs to be clear and concise, with a page title, headings and subheadings, so both Google and visitors can easily find the information they are looking for.

There are website pages that you can read explaining pretty much how to do anything you need in relation to your Google account. Gmail, Drive, Maps, Search, Calendar, YouTube etc. Along with instruction on how to use Docs, Sheets, Slides and Keep. These are loads of free tools and can replace Word, Excel and PowerPoint if you learn how to use them properly.

They have videos about all their products. If you don’t like to read, then this is the place for you.
We all have different learning styles. I use a combination of Videos, Podcasts and reading documentation.

It is broken down into catergories and products. It is worth visiting just to familiarise yourself with the different things they do. I started with Gmail and it grew from there. Now I use Docs, Sheets, Keep, Calendar, Drive and YouTube nearly everyday.
Google Trouble shooting
Honestly, I have been there. While Google has great products, their customer support is very lacking in our country. If you know how to start and can be patient, you can solve most issues.
From Inside your account go to help and support and fill in the details required. Be poliet and be patient, thay have millions of people using their products.
